
Monica McAllister, a resident of Saratoga, has been an Allied Member of ASID since 1994. She founded Mentos Interiors in 1996 after earning both a Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design from the University of California Los Angeles and an Associate Degree (with Honors) in Interior Design from West Valley College.
In addition to her exceptionally creative work for private clients, Monica has also served as either an affiliate designer or project consultant with several leading firms in the Bay area, including Curtis & Randall Associates (San Francisco), Rockwood Designs (Saratoga), McDonald & Moore (San Jose) and Beaubien Design (Los Altos Hills). She has also shared her talents, and passion for great design, as an instructor in the West Valley College department of Interior Design teaching courses in Interior Architectural Drafting, Residential Design and Graphic Techniques.

Robin Sedgwick, who resides in Los Gatos, recently joined Mentos Interiors as a principal. Robin and Monica graduated together (at the top of their class) from the Interior Design Program at West Valley College and have been friends for more than 15 years. Previously Robin earned her Bachelor of Science Degree in Marketing from George Mason University and had a successful career in sales and marketing, with both technology and financial service companies.
As the owner of Renaissance Properties, Robin acted as both the principal designer and project manager for the complete reconstruction of eight historic homes in San Jose and Los Gatos. She also acquired, redesigned, managed, and successfully sold a major executive office suites business in Santa Clara. Robin has been a frequent volunteer in activities for both school and community serving, for example, as board member and president of the Ah Hah School of Art in Telluride, CO.
